1. Plans, directs and evaluates department functions, in accordance with established philosophy.
2. Responsible for orientation, training, assessment, and management of personnel.
3. Relates effectively with all shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and physicians; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel.

• Nursing Degree from an accredited university/college required
• Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred
• Masters Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• 3-5 years recent experience in an acute care clinical setting required 
• 3 years management of a related clinical setting required 
• Current North Carolina Nursing License or compact Licensure Agreement required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
